Glowing skin in 7 days? Here’s how.

Are you short on time and still hoping to achieve glowing skin in as little as 7 days? Here are the top tips on how you can be the recipient of radiant skin.

#1 Know your skin type

This may seem obvious but you might just be surprised with how many people are oblivious about their skin type. Knowing your skin type lets you in on the skincare products you can and should be using for your skin.

If your skin usually feels tight, parched and tight, you’re likely to have dry skin. If your T-zone (the area on your forehead and nose) is always greasy and shiny, you probably have oily skin. If the T-zone is oily but other parts of your face feels dry, you have combination skin. Normal skin types are those that have skin that’s neither oily or overly dry, and sensitive skin types tend to turn red easily and gets inflamed and itchy.

#2 Have a regular Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise routine

Once you know your skin type, be sure to get in on a regular skincare routine to ensure that skin is well cleansed, toned and moisturised both in the day and night.

Don’t be afraid to add in a serum or two that can help to combat your skin concerns. For instance if your concern is to stall aging, you might like to add a Vitamin C serum in the morning, which helps to prevent or slow down sun damage, wrinkles and dark spots, and add Retinol in the evening to help increase cell and collagen production for younger looking skin.

#3 Exfoliation is key

Exfoliating your skin regularly prevents the buildup of dead skin cells from accumulating on your skin. This buildup not only makes skin appear dull and patchy, it also creates a barrier for your skincare products, so no matter what products you are using for your skin, your skin is not going to reap the benefits from it.

When it comes to exfoliation, you can choose between a physical exfoliator and a chemical exfoliator. A physical exfoliator incorporates finely ground particles or grain-like particles that help to buff away dead skin.

Chemical exfoliators on the other hand contain alpha and beta hydroxy acids, melting away dead skin cells and deep cleansing the pores.

Make exfoliation a part of your weekly skincare routine and in time your skin will thank you for it.
