Here’s what you need for a budget-conscious skincare routine

Simply step into another mall, pharmacy or beauty shop, I bet you’d be inundated with the range of products available. As a consumer, one of our go-to point of reference is to zoom in on products that are well-known and expensive. But a good skincare regime doesn’t have to cost arm and leg. Expensive doesn’t always equal good or effective. In fact, a good skincare routine can be as simple as a 3-step beauty regime that is suite for your skin type.

Follow these tips for skincare that is both good for your skin and easy on your wallet!

Cleanse your skin

Cleaning your skin right is always a good idea in our books, preferably one that’s good enough for sensitive skin so you can be sure it’s not harsh and abrasive for your skin. Cleaning your skin helps to get rid of dirt, oil and debris, and preventing clogged pores and breakout. Plus, clean skin makes for a clean slate for your skincare products that will come after.

Moisturise

Moisturising your skin is a must for good skin, and isn’t just limited to those with dry skin. Even those with oily skin can benefit from a suitable moisturizer to keep sebum production in check and get skin back into tip top shape. Find one that’s suited for your skin type and you’ll be saying hello to new found brighter and younger skin!

Sun screen

Sun protection is another must if glowing, healthy skin is what you’re after. Sun damage not only ages skin, it can cause skin to look dull too. Make sunscreen application a daily habit, or an extension to your skincare routine, regardless of you being outdoors or in. Look for sunscreen that has at least SPF30 protection and be liberal with re-application. There’s no such thing as too much sunscreen.

Consider dual-functioning products

2-in-1 products are a great option for killing 2 birds in 1 go. Reap the benefits of 2 in 1 product and enjoy cost savings when doing so, such as a product that improves skin texture while working on eradicating acne, or even body wash that cleans your skin while promising 24hr sun protection.
